County commissioner meeting is 8:30 Tuesday morning in the council chambers at city hall.

Isn't the median age in this town 65?  I had never seen so many handicap parking spaces as I have at the old Walmart.

The County tried two night meetings. When polled, everyone was for the night meetings--EXCEPT the usual "gang of 4" and the County Administrator. KATE Radio reported good interest.
A discussion followed about possible nights for meetings. Not surprising, every Commissioner except Belshan had another committment on one night or another that "couldn't be rescheduled". Belshan moved to have night meetings. Defeated. Discussion of 1 night meeting per month. No action taken.
How about scheduling night meetings starting in, say, July--a chance to re-arrange schedules? Perhaps it will be a campaign issue--("If elected, I will make my schedule available for night meetings")
It appears that most of the Commissioners can't be bothered with re-arranging their schedules.

It's us that must rearrange our schedules to be able to go to board meetings.
