Maybe I just want to start something or maybe I have a valid point. Every morning as I drive east on Fountain St. the people who work at the hostpial, cross the street in front of cars who can't see them. At times the sun can make it impossible to see anyone who happens to be in the middle of the road. Now more than ever with all the grime from the roads, windshields tend to be dirty. Very seldom do I see people useing the crosswalks (of course some do). Most are crossing wherever they feel like it. I know very well pedestrians have the right of way, but more then once I've had to slam on my brakes because somebody feels they have the God given right to cross the street wherever they want to. Then they look at me as if I was trying to run them over. I believe these people need to be thumped upside the head. If their childern were doing this I think they would be having some harsh words for them too. I only bring this up so these people are more aware that we as drivers can't see them. Thanks for listening.

They're hospital workers, therefore, they feel they're more important. so, you're supposed to yield to them. See how they think?
Wait till national health care and it will really get bad.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that the T intersection a block east of the lights is considered a crosswalk (going from the north side of the street to one of the corners on the south side of the street). In that case pedestrians would have the right of way. I know they don't always cross there, though, a lot of them jaywalk in the middle of the block.

Even if a person is jaywalking, they still have the right of way in this state. As stupid as that sounds.
