Don't know how computer literate all of you are ... Geo might know the answer to this question.

I have a 17" Philips flat screen Monitor about a year old. It's got LightFrame 2 & 109B written on it. The problems is ... right in the center words look a little fuzzy. To the right and left they are clear. I've looked in all of the adjustments on the monitor but don't see anywhere to make things more clear. I hope my monitor isn't dying already.

Thanks in advance ....

If there is nothing nearby creating interference with the monitor(unshielded speakers or halogen lights, television, audio receivers or other electronics equipment) check the cable connections and make sure they are tight. If your monitor still doesn't show a clear picture try connecting it to another computer to rule out the video card.

I think something is probably wrong inside it though.(I would guess the dynamic focus circuit is out.) There's not much you can do to fix it except send it in to the company.

Philips warranties run from 1 year to 3 years so if it's under warranty it will only cost about $20 in shipping costs to get it to a service center. If it's not under warranty you're probably better off just buying a new one.

Since the landfill started charging such much to get rid of computer equipment it's a lot cheaper to just take it out to UPS and ship it to someone you don't like. :D

Thanks for the info Liberal ... I was hoping for an easy fix  :(  I went to the web site that you left and there was a place to send questions so I did. I can still see everything on my screen ok ... I can just tell it's starting to blurr in the very center. This sucks. It was a way cool monitor when it worked. Guess I better start looking around for another one.
