I just want to take a moment to thank all you men and women who served your country. Because of you and the service you gave to your country, we are allowed to come on boards like this and voice opinions. Once again I thank you.l

Good post Mamma!!!  I went on to the Star Tribune and read a story of young men from Minnesota who were POW's.  It told of the tortures they endured.  I too want to thank all that have served our country.  Your service is appreciated.

I stood outside today just like every veterens day since Vietnam. I looked at the Flag waving and remember my comrads long gone. I never knew them as middle aged men only as kids 19 - 20 years old. I can still see their faces and their faces when they died.

I used to think war was the worse thing that anyone could go through, but I was wrong. Watching your child go to war is the worst.

Happy Veterens Day, Robert, My son and Thank You

Thank you, those that gave all, and those that gave their lives........, thank you to their families.

Yeah I watched a special last night on HBO about the Easy Company, a regiment of the 101st Airborne during W.W.2 that was very touching, they said the guys that made it home alive weren't heroes, it was the guys who gave up there lives fighting, who were the heroes.

Fresno is right I am no hero I didn't die. I am a Highly Decorated Veteren. Both Requires the same courage. One soldier is just luckier than the other.

George, It is sad to see some of these really old guys that served in ww2, I don't think people apperciate what they have done, so many people look at them as just OLD men, but they were once young, I know that Veterans day always remind Me of an OLD guy who used to come to my shop, He couldn't walk very good and as I got to know him better He told Me about his experince over Germany, His plane got shot to hell but they made it back to England but said He had a hard time on the landing, long story short, He crashed and burned, only Him and the radio man got out, Radio man later died, but this OLD man suffered burns on His legs and body that He never recovered from, not ever, not for 50 years. He was 21 years old at the time of His crash.I only knew him from my shop but went to his funeral 3 years ago.
