It seems someone at Boone or the Tribune has been trying to go around Ad Block or similar.  Well one can use NOscript which stops their stupid, answer these questions to view the article or if you do you use Adblock just add survey.g.doubleclick.net to your custom filter.

Just shop around for another 18,000 person town newspaper that will just let you read their articles. Without all the silliness. They're gonna be about the same news-wise.

In this day of instant gratification; I don't see how this was deemed a viable way of getting revenue.

It just makes me visit even less than I already do.

Maybe I added the custom filter wrong, but I'm still getting the ads.

Also, I really hate those automatic flash player ads on websites like the Tribune or The Weather Channel's website.  They bog down my computer pretty bad until it asks me if I want to stop the plugin.  But I may have figured out a way to block that for now.

Try adding a filter group first then add the filter rule to the group.

The flash player issue is due to the fact they are using an outdated player.
