I have seen some very large birds flying over fountain lake around the bike path and hanging out in the trees by the cemetery, does anyone know what kind they are? they are pretty cool looking

checkout their wings when they are flying. if their wings are fluted on the back side they are probably turkey vultures. i came by the city beach the other day & there were about a dozen of them milling about near the beach area. this is the first time i have seen them on the ground.

yes it would be the turkey vulture , they have the red on the head like that . has a been a lot around the beach and that area lately

I think they were looking for a place to crap but decided the porta-potty at the landing was too gross.
