The strangest thing happened the other day. I was looking out my kitchen window and noticed what appeared to be a 20 something year old woman carrying a young child down the street very slowly and sort of mumbling to herself at times. The really odd part...she was barefoot! I mean this was back earlier when it was colder and the walkway was half covered in snow. How did her feet stand up to that? 
I get the paper from the yard, barefoot in the snow and I'm a hurting unit and that's just a few seconds. Wha tha hell?

Tane are you sure you were not a witness of a victim of abuse, you could say the woman ran from an abusive spouse in fear of danger to herself and child. This is something that the police should have been called to investigate either way.

The kid seemed dressed warm and the mom was not in a hurry. My dog was out and barked (it usually doesn't) so even my dog was taken back by the odd site. As the women walked slowly by my house, barefoot in the snow, she scorned at my dog and I could see she had missing teeth.
I still can't figure out how her feet didn't numb and seize up and she didn't fall over. She did seem wobbly at times.

Geo brings up a good point. 
I wonder how much domestic abuse is caused by meth use?
domestic abuse has been around a long time before meth,
but I wonder how much of an increase in domestic violence has happened since meth arrived?

No, she didn't appear to be moving quickly at all. Sort of lolly gagging. I believe it was a woman, perhaps a single mother holed up at home with the kid and some meth. How else do you walk around the neighborhood in bare feet without being in pain?

I agree. I too think that the police should've been called investigate. That type of behavior is too bizarre. In the best interests of the child it would've been the right thing to do. It makes me wonder what goes on inside of the house.

We also have a large mentally ill populaton. It could've been that.
