I have been poking around the forum for a week and especially the gas price thread made me wonder hwo many out there have to go out of town for work. I have been working in Owatonna for 4 years. It is definetely cheaper to own a home here. It just seems to me AL is a great place to live just not to work

Live in Owatonna, work in Albert Lea. Unsurprisingly, all of my local "pals" are in AL--I don't know anybody in Owatonna.
-------------- No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

Wow peg leg are you San Born in owatonna? I started this thread expecting to find out I am not alone leaving AL to work. I am always shocked when people go the other way. Maybe we can work out a trade?

Originally, I'm from the woods in SW Minnesota. I run KC Pawn & Gun Shop in AL. We originally wanted to open up in Owatonna, but couldn't find good retail space up here. Where do you work?

"I used to live in Wisconsin, but work in Owatonna too."
That must have been some job. How was it important enough to drive from Wisconsin to work in Owatonna yet not important enough to move closer? Is there an Owatonna in Wisconsin?
