If you drive down by the Skyline mall there is a crosswalk that is marked with a handicapped signs even though it has normal curbs on both sides of it ???

I know for a fact that Roger Bok has been complaining about it for at least a year, but, nothing is ever done about it. Wouldn't you think that it would be a no-brainer to fix these curbs?

I think that's the problem, if they fix the sidewalk that would be like admitting Roger Bok was right all along and it's hard to paint him as a troublemaking complainer when he's right.

They really should either fix the sidewalk or remove the sign before someone goes over that curb in a wheelchair thinking that it's a handicap ramp and gets hurt.

They will probably remove the sign, instead of fixing the problem admitting Roger was right.

Liberal, we truly need people like you involved in our local government. Although I do not live in your district, I was sorry to see that you did not make it past the primary. I am, however, going to write-in your name for the mayoral election. My one vote might not place you in office, but I would rather cast a vote for someone competent who is not even on the ballot than for either Eaton or Borland.

There is NO SHEEP in this forum and I like it that way. My mother faithfully listens to every council mtg. Never much cared for Roger Bok a few years ago. But has come to appreciate what he has to say before being stifled at each mtg now. I say thank God for people like him who refuse to be intimidated. Been to a few mtgs myself. Roger has quite a few followers and supporters there... for those of you who only hear the "yes" people's side in your local media. It's actually kinda cool, being known as somewhat of a rebel myself. I rally for him!!!

Thanks, Scurvy Dog.

Councilor Marin mentioned at the meeting tonight that he's asked the city engineer to fix the curb. He didn't say how he heard about it, but, he certainly deserves credit for being right on top of things in his ward.

They seem to be fixing the crosswalk now!

My wife and I were driving down to County Market on Front Street, and they have the curbs torn up on two corners - the Korner Mart corner, and the one across from that on the swamp side.

Now, how about a four-way stop at the intersection of First Avenue and Clark Street? :)

I would say that most of the leaders in this town hate Roger with a passion.

I would also say that they probably hate all of us here on this forum also.

Alergic to Bogus put it very well, "There is no sheep in this forum."

The only way most of these politicians can govern is by the people being ignorant of what is happening in their name, with their money.

This forum is a force in this town, we all know it.

But the powers that be would never admit it, just like they can never admit that Roger might have a legitimate complaint.

They dont undertsand that the time for NICE is way over. We are past that, its time to take our town and our government back.

If that means pi$$ing off some politician that looks more like Ronald McDonald than a Mayor, then so be it.  :D

Vote for Bok
