Except that the article says that some of the pot-related incidents WERE fatal. So if you're going to put the article up to prove that all of the following are myths:
Quote | Myth: Marijuana is a Dangerous Drug
Myth: Marijuana is Harmless
Myth: One Joint Equals One Pack (or 16, or maybe just 4) Cigarettes
Myth: Prohibition Reduces the Harmfulness of Pot Smoking
Myth: No One Has Ever Died From Using Marijuana
Myth: Marijuana is a Major Road Safety Hazard
Myth: Marijuana Prohibition Improves Public Safety
Myth: Drug Urinalysis Improves Workplace Safety
Myth: Random Urinalysis is Needed in Safety-Sensitive Transportation Jobs
Myth: A Single Joint Has Effects That Linger for Days and Weeks
Myth: Pot is Ten Times More Potent and Dangerous Now than in the Sixties
Myth: Pot Kills Brain Cells
Myth: Marijuana Causes Sterility and Lowers Testosterone
Myth: Marijuana Causes Birth Defects
Myth: Pot Causes High Blood Pressure
Myth: Marijuana Damages the Immune System
Myth: Marijuana Causes Chromosome and Cell Damage
Myth: Marijuana Leads to Harder Drugs | and you're trying to persuade us, by quoting this article, that all of our perceptions/opinions/convictions are wrong, then you are also accepting ipso facto the evidence presented in the article that marijuana has been linked to some deaths throughout recent documented history (enough so that this article from NORML - NORML! - is willing to make the effort to debunk the myth that marijuana has, in your OWN words from page 15 of the "More local drug war atrocities" thread, "never been shown to kill anyone EVER IN HISTORY...... GOOD GOD MAN!!!!!!!!...not even one person ever in history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"). You can't pick apart an article to choose your evidence. However, if there are inconsistencies within that article with what you have wholeheartedly proclaimed on other threads, you have the right - and some would say the obligation - to address those inconsistencies.

It's kind of like this: I tell you, "vegetables have never been shown to kill anyone ever!" In order to refute allegations being made that veggies are dangerous substances that kill its users.
You say, "I found where someone MAY have choked and died on veggie in 1937, so how do you reconcile that with the fact that you said no one ever died from veggies"?
Does this somehow prove that veggies are a dangerous substance worthy of lenthy incarceration? This is a large country with millions of people, hundreds of people die every year from tripping over their kids toys. What could possibly be the point...? I'm not going to sit here and argue whether someone may or may not have got high and fell off a cliff. It's totally irrevelent to the discussion at hand. If you're incapable of understanding that...I'm afraid you just won't understand anything.
***I came back to add this.. IMPORTANT!
Forget it...do NOT respond! ...as I will not be reading your posts any longer as I feel you just want to go around and around on the merry go round without any real purpose. Go masturbate on your own...I got my own thing going.

"Acting disinterested in school, family, or activities he or she used to enjoy"
an affect of marijuana use. Also a symptom of depression; and a recent English study should that marijuana use was influencial in the user developing depresive disorders. In addition, it was found that marijuana had damaging affects on the portions of the brain that normally control feelings of content and satisfaction.
Hmm. And dealers kill each other over this stuff.......sounds great.

For all those that think the government should get into the health care business--or are in favor of medical marijuana--here is a link to an article on the Canadian experiment with government supplies pot. It seems the government weed is so bad, that recipients are returning it! To add insult to injury, the government supplied stash is costing the Canadian taxpayers $16,000 an ounce (though the bright side is, that's in Canadian dollars.)
Just as many people in the U.S. are looking to Canada for cheaper drugs, perhaps the Canadians should be looking to the U.S. for theirs!
Goes to prove the old adage--"If you think health care is expensive NOW, wait until it is FREE!"

Kind of reminds me of the U.S. government--it took title to the Mustang Ranch, a legal brothel in Nevada. For a while, the U.S. government was running a House of Ill Repute--but they ended up selling it--the government managers were so bad, they couldn't make money in a whorehouse!

My brother-in-law died in a car crash. They initially thought alcohol was involved. The driver didn't have alcohol in her body, but she did have pot. Yes, it can impair you. To what degree?? I don't know, but why put it in your body. I hear people compare cigarettes to pot. Cigarettes aren't illegal, but they kill. Not a great comparison.

Uncle Ben, who do you think you are, Einstein? I thought this was a forum that provided a means of debate among sophisticated adults. You seem to think you are superior to everyone else and have all the answers. I guess we don't need a forum for discussion. I know let's have an "Uncle Ben Website" and you can tell all of us uneducated idiots everything we need to know. I had no intentions of responding on this site in a derogatory manner, but I can fight fire with fire. You seem like a self-rightious, arrogant person who needs to find another way to prove yourself other than degrading others on this forum.

OK
"Cigarettes aren't illegal, but they kill. Not a great comparison."
Explain what that even means?
