Should the Vikings give Mike Tice the heave-ho and go after the best coach in the history of the team - indeed, if not the history of the game in the modern era? We of course speak of the illustrious, yet humble and lovable, one and only Denny Green.

Would The Sheriff take the job if given the opportunity?

Red McCombs, you need Dennis Green. Minnesota needs Dennis Green. This Dennis Green country.

Come home, Sheriff. Please.

Mike Tice isn't the problem.  Daunte Culpepper is!!!  Dennis Green sucks too.

He is the reason this team is in the bad shape its in. Keep Dennis on the west coast. Get rid of All players drafted by that moron and start from scratch. Dante has no brain, Moss has no ambition. 10-13 against the bears with a starter QB come on the AL Tigers could have done better. Purple Pride done died

Sorry, but the Vikings are better off without Green.  Personally I thought Dungy should have been offered the coaching position but Red went with Tice instead of paying for a real coach.  In the end you get what you pay for.  Perhaps Red wants the team to fail to make a move to a better market easier?  Conspiracies abound!

Dennis Green is the last person we need. Green wasnt a very good game coach. He wasnt very good at personnel decisions. Just what was it he was so good at? Some will say winning, winning what? Winning in one of the weakest divisions in football? This guy had one of the best teams in NFL history and still managed to blow it in the playoffs, mostly because of his lack of good time management. The Vikes need a hard@ss, someone like Parcells or Gruden, someone that will come in and tell them all, your job is on the line, no matter who you are, the best player at his position plays, period.
Contrary to what some sports writers in the Cities think, my thoughts on Culpepper have nothing to do with ignorence of the game or race. If the coach's and Culpepper would forget about his being a pocket passer and just let him lead the team in rushing I think it would be better. But my gut feeling about Culpepper is that he will never win a championship, Vikings or no Vikings. There will always be the chance that in the big game he will lose it for you, either with a fumble or a pick. The great ones dont lose games, Culpepper will lose many more games, many, many more games.

And to all of the many, many fans of the Sheriff, thank you for the support.  I always knew this area was Dennis Green country, now this thread proves it.

To answer the above questions, no, I will not return to Minnesota while the team is controlled by Billy Joe "Red" McCombs.  If you have read my book, you will understand that I should have been the new owner of the team but thanks to a media conspiracy, I was denied the opporunity.  But that is OK because right now, the Sheriff has his hand on the plow, and when your hand is on the plow you keep looking forward.  In closing, let me say this, if you are looking for Denny Green, look on the HIGH road, because that is where I will be.

Thanks again for the support.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha :D   Da Knee?  is it really you?  I'll bet you were laughing your ass off too, huh?  Well, best of luck in AZ - though I wouldn't have minded it a bit if you'd stayed in MN  :)   No use crying about it now.  The pack is back, the queens are dead and its on to Philly - Wish us luck?
