What point are you trying to make?  Minnow said basically the same thing you did, except he didn't specify that state laws would have to change before Albert Lea could reject a casino.  Do you just want to nitpick everything people post?  If that's the case, it's spelled Farmland, not framland.  The whole purpose of this thread was so Minnow could get an opinion about buying property in NORTHWOOD before prices go up, I don't even see why you're making Albert Lea an issue.

Since your county commissioners already consider themselves a sovereign nation, you could put a casino anywhere you want to.   At the very least, have the Shakopee based tribe pay you off not to build one like they do at the State level already.   Smart move by Minnow to get ahead of the infrastructure surrounding these sites.

Minnow.....how are you coming on the real estate shopping in the Northwood area....any great buys yet? No time like the present to jump in there. Heck...even if the casino doesn't show up it will give you a tax shelter or two...and if the casino does show up you will make more money and be able to buy another one of those velvet sweatsuits. :D

How would it give me tax shelter? You sound like someone whose never had more than a few nickles to rub together.

I hate Worthless county though, it's the only county worse than Freeborn in the entire area. A casino would be the only attraction.

I make enough money really and I don't really want to work any harder just for more. I'd like to purchase a $300-$350,000 home (cash) in about 15 months. I like that newer home out by city arena overlooking Lake Chapeau, but AL taxes are a little steep.

Just think, In Austin, I could be living in a $300,000 home that appreciates at about 5% a year or about $15,000$(1250 per month....) and I'll only have to pay about $200 per month  taxes. In other words I'll not only be living for free, but making over $1000 per month in equity too boot! All the while you'll be paying much more per month for a old crappy house with less than half your payment going to equity...hee hee.

Once I get my house, a Mercedes and a woman are next. Some woman is gonna get lucky. I could take a twenty something welfare mom out of da hood and into upper middle class bwoy! Woo hoo...

Minnow - your BS gets old.  You've been saying you are going to buy different priced houses within the next X months, with cash, for about a year now.  You are nothing but a big hot air balloon.  I also belive I proved your whole tax theory wrong on the old Trib forum, after that you shut up about your money, house hunting, and taxes in Albert Lea.  Go smoke another joint and drop some more acid you wacko.

Once again the minnow is wrong. I have more than nickles. I have two new cars, a big house that is paid for and other properties as well....just didn't think it would matter to anyone else....evidently Minnow thinks he is the only person who makes any money. There are things more important than money it's just too bad that you can't have them. I was actually trying to be nice to you minnow and give you a few ideas to help you spend some of that money that you brag about. If you just keep it and don't invest it wisely you aren't going to make much of a profit. Inflation will eat it up faster than what you can make on interest.
