Boy - you just cant take any constructive criticism or suggestions at all.  When you stop the BS you can have good points.  Sadly, I think you don't care of getting any points out or having any actual discussion/debate all you want is to throw insults and call names.

Stick to facts, good points, and actual discussion/debate and this can be a good place to discuss things.

You and your spouse are getting to that age SB, as an example lets say your wife has a massive stoke, she can no-longer care for herself and has to go to a nursing-home.

She's your dependent you're now responsible for her Nursing Home bills, I doubt you could cover them long on what a short haul owner operator makes.

Under the current law you could write those expenses above 10% of your income off. It might be tough but you'd survive intact still an owner operator with assets.

What's your option under the Republican plan, bankruptcy-divorce and after your credit is destroyed and everything you own gone you'll be driving for someone else 24/7/365 and your wife will be a burden on the taxpayer..

Maybe you carry nursing home insurance, but from what I hear many of these policy's can be a real mixed bag with many stipulations and disqualifications...

     Yes, I quite familiar with tax deductions, like being able to deduct what I pay to the state for income and property taxes.

I watch quite intently through this whole process.
