The quote above belongs to the last Republican I voted for, he was a Naval Officer and a businessman, a true patriot who understood how the country and economy worked..
Donald Trump is calling for a big naval buildup which really shows his lack of smarts. The days of gunboat diplomacy are long past, the Falkland Islands being a prime example, why is it Republicans are preparing for the past war. They're stuck in the past we must prepare for reality of today..Trump also is calling for a major expansion to the Active-duty Army to 540,000 troops..he's also called for an Air Force buildup..
What we're talking here is a war time buildup, a spendy proposition at a time when he's calling for the largest tax cuts in history...we're not paying our bills the way it is...now we'll see deficit spending on a scale never witnessed before..All occurring under the direction of a so called Conservative Republican Administration...what a joke..

Trump and Perot are diametrically opposed, fact is there is no republican of today that could carry the Perot mantle.
Perot came out with a plan, he put it in black and white in the form of two books (United We Stand) (Not For Sale At Any Price)
He stated his plan and didn't waiver..
My respect for Perot started long before his Presidential run when he financed and undertook a mission to investigate POW/MIA issues stemming from Vietnam. Even thou it raised ire of both Reagan and Bush I administrations, he pressed on.
Trump is a spoiled rich kid, who was an athlete in college but is 4-F when it comes time for Military Service, he has enough baggage to be impeached, Nixon and Clinton faced impeached for less..
He's spending money like a drunken sailor, I fear we'll see trump's seventh bankruptcy and it'll be US..

^^ yes, decency compared to a POS like Billy. I stand corrected, I thought
Johnson was up for impeachment, but not impeached. So only 2 presidents in 240 years have been impeached, one because he thought he was was doing the right thing and one because he couldn't control himself and kept dropping his pants for a little girl near his daughters age, I see.
