Your father's insurance company will have a formulary (list of drugs they cover) if it's not on there it'll be a battle to get insurance to pay. if it is on there it'll most likely have restriction, such as prior authorization or quantity limit, maybe some other red tape or higher copays..

My daughter keeps up with what is going on with the law, but she doesn't care if smokable or edible becomes legal. She's one of those DARE kids and it still sort of shows, also last week her pulmonary function tests came back worse than we expected so she would never smoke anything.

As far as the law goes with all my health problems I don't qualify either, but if I thought it would help I wouldn't let the law stop me. I dont know how many forum members knew me before I started posting on the Tribune forum but the reason I started posting was because i was having trouble finding the word I needed, and my thoughts were really clouded. The reason for that was I had been sick for about 4 years and was anorexic because I couldn't eat and I weighed 157lbs when I suffered a heat stroke riding mountain bike an Mt Lutsen

One good thing that happened was a very smart Dr in Silver Bay told me that I had to gain weight any way possible unless I wanted to die. She said I didn't have enough body fat to fight off viruses or much of anythingat 157lbs.

When I got home I started my own diet that included
an "alternative" medicine.  And when I'd feel good enough to eat I ate lots of peanut butter crackers, and these bulk mints that I think are made from lard. I figured if peanut butter was good for famine victims it had to help me put weight on.

Within a year I had put 25lbs on but I still got sick quite a bit but now I started getting over things way faster. Eventually I got my appetite back and I not only got back to my normal 200lbs but I was able to put on another 25lbs. Now if I get sick or injured my body does a great job of fighting stuff off even with having a compromised immune system

I don't care if anyone believes it or not, but I know for sure I wouldn't be here today if the "alternative" medicine hadn't given me enough of an appetite to eat.

While I think that it's great that they have found medications in certain hemp plants that treat differant diseases and conditions I have a problem with the name; Medical Marijuana.  Call it medical THC , medical hemp, or some other scientific name, but calling it Medical Marijuana allows  those who could care less about it's medical uses to push for legalization of  smoking pot (or the eatable variety).  Or equaly as bad the relaxation of standards for distribution so we become like California where if you have a hangnail on your pinkie, here have a prescription for pot!
While I can't support the decrimanlization of marijuana, I do think the laws covering it's use and possesion should be modified.  Posses a small amount should not bring with it serving any hard time, probation and fines would be ideal in those cases.  On the other hand if you're growing a ton of it in your basement, that's a differant story.

I'll wrap this up by bringing it back on topic.  I've had calls from the RNC and the NRA wanting contibutions.  They wish!!
