So you gladly pay an extra .75% to shop in Rochester to improve that town and county, but complain about the same type of thing here. Costs you an extra 25 cents on every hundred dollars! I would bet those farmers spend plenty they are going to get taxed on to support the community, can you say the same?

I thought I was pretty clear why I shop in Rochester. For the extra money I spend I have two different places that sell coral reef supplies, and coral frags. In Albert Lea I can't even buy a tank heater.

Yes, you were perfectly clear they have good stuff there, what you want and there isn't anything wrong with that, but the point is you threaten to move because of the local tax here, but obviously take no issue with theirs. I actually don't have a problem where anyone decides to shop, but one shouldn't act like AL is any different in what they are doing than other cities. The taxes are out of control in this country and only going to get worse, there is no way we can continue on these paths, spend less or tax more, people have to pick a side as you can't have it both ways and just want everyone else to pay for these things (not referring to you, Americans in general) not rocket science.

Tax breaks for the rich and a couple of republican wars that we used credit to fund is why the taxes are out of control.
And I'm willing to pay more on property taxes but not a regressive sales tax.

Is it already built? Last weekend I ordered some RC batteries on Sat. night at 8pm and the USPS had it in my mailbox at 9am Monday. 36hr delivery time over the weekend is pretty amazing.
On the other hand I ordered some candles for my wife from China and it's been 6 weeks and it hasn't made it through US customs yet and it took at least 3 weeks to fill the container in China so it's only been on the boat for 3 of those 6 weeks.

^^ I went by the site a couple a weeks ago, it looked like they were finishing up the ground prep getting ready to set foundations. After that it goes really quick.
Customs is a fickle bitch, not much gets inspected in containers. Every now and then I get told to take one to the customs station. They open it up, look at it for 10 seconds then close the door and reseal it. From what I understand big $$ for that. The stuff you order I imagine comes it air freight.
