These simpletons want $15 an hour when 10% of time they can't get an order straight. I order their McDouble without cheese or ketchup and I swear at least 10% of the time they put cheese on it. Even when the freakin receipt has No Amer Cheese printed right on it. It happens so often that before we leave the drive through we usually check to see if they put cheese or ketchup on the burger.

Then they wonder why most people don't support their demand of higher wages. If you're too stupid to assemble 4 ingredients to make a burger you don't deserve to make minimum wage, let alone $15 an hour.

It's not just the Main St McDonald's either. Years ago in Rochester I saw a guy order a large Coke but he wanted it half regular Coke and half diet Coke. The kid behind the register looked all over his screen for the picture and couldn't find it , so after aboiut a minute he says to the guy, ”Okay, but I'm going to have to charge you for a large regular Coke.

Maybe they should put pictures on the wrappers like the cash register has, maybe then they could assemble a burger properly.

Actually they do sort of, some places have wrappers with printing on both sides, I notice that would get screwed up too.

They also want union representation and benefits. Imagine being a union burger flipper

They need to be replaced by machines. I saw a hotel that has pancake making machine where you just push a button and a pancake pops out. How long before they make one that can spit out a McDouble without cheese, or a simple burger.

I believe a place like mcdirts is a starting place and unless your management it should be about minimum wage. These people that work at these places should be looking for a job that pays better. Yes you get some work experience but mcdirts isn't a place for trying to live on your own.

When we look at something like the minimum wage I know that $15 number seems unrealistic, but is it? When we look at just the inflation factor the minimum wage would exceed this number had it just kept up with inflation.

Sanders plan doesn't call for moving to $15 wage overnight, the Senate Democrats are calling for $12 minimum wage, "good but not good enough" to quote Sanders!

People working at today's minimum wage all qualify for Government safety net programs, they also qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a full subsidy on healthcare. What this means to you and me as Taxpayers, we're subsiding large profitable Corporations.

Claiming places like McDonald's are entry level or training for kids is an argument that just doesn't hold water!

As for machines, seems I have a better chance of winning on a slot machine than getting a coke out of a pop machine!!!

To quote FDR: “No business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country.”
“By living wages, I mean more than a bare subsistence level — I mean the wages of a decent living.” (1933, Statement on National Industrial Recovery Act)

^^ and if we move to a $15 min everything else will follow accordingly, rents, food, clothing etc. Then any business that is left in this country moves overseas. The gov will have to go into spin overdrive to cover the unemployment numbers even more.

but the dems would declare it a success.

And the union thugs would collect their pound of flesh.

In the month your protesting for 15 min wage at mcdirts you could probably find a decent job that pays that or more with benefits possibly. You may have to work a little harder their so if you don't want to work to make your life better then protest all you want. As for me I'd definitely look to better my life somewhere other than mcdirts. I would rather be a server at applebees and making tips on top of my wages.

Minnesota is one of only 7 states that pay the full minimum wage to tipped employees. Surrounding states all pay servers less than the federal minimum wage, in recognition of their tip income. In Wisconsin, for example, servers earn $2.33 per hour plus tips, something that is allowed by outdated federal labor laws.

That's something we need to fix on the federal level then. But the min wage shouldn't pass 10 an hour four inflation purposes.
