Driving thru Owatonna over the weekend and looking at all the Large Companies. Why can't Albert Lea do this. I know its an age old question....but, really?

Because they want us to be a retirement community. That was decided years ago and it hasn't changed.

Start spending more of your money locally and get involved in community projects. Support candidates that agree with your philosophy(don't be afraid to donate some money)  . Be frank and honest. You don't have to agree with everyone. Point out fault, but also bring a solution or a willingness to work on one. Stop the negativity surrounding this community. Work to build positive relationships with government officials and the business community. This is just a start.

Though not local Greenbeans, taxes are a big part of the problem. Look at the companies that are ditching the US to save millions of dollars they would have paid in taxes. Can't blame them either.

Also to have any promise of a decent company moving in a competent work force is needed.

How about a company like Medtronic? They just recently aquired a company in Ireland, land of 12.5% corperate tax as opposed to our35%.How About that tariff?
