It's kinda reminding me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer is test driving a car with the sales guy to see how far they can go with the gas needle on E.

Yes.. But this administration has been the worst for scandals happen during his time since Reagan.  I'm not saying Obama was directly involved in all of them but even after the fact the man has no accountability factors and just continues to send his lying mouthpiece out there to to the press.  And I don't like to justify bad/poor behavior by pointing out some one else's poor/bad behavior.

Republicans create scandals out of everything even when none exists..

What kind of crap will they come up with when Hillary Clinton becomes President for the next 8 years after Obama?

Keep drinking the kool aid.  It will all be ok in a few minutes.
The Republitards don't need to 'create' anything,  the current administration is doing that itself.

Please share with me what even compares to over 7000 Americans dead, over 30,000 Americans crippled and the rebuilding of two countries that are friked up and continue to be destroyed from within by their own people..

Less than 3000 were killed at the World Trade Center on 9-11-2001..

If I was a betting man, I wouldn't waste my time with those kind of odds..

Bin Laden and Al Qaeda won this fight a long time ago..

Bush, Cheney will always be known as nothing but a couple of nightmares in US history..

Well what about 52,000 killed and over a million injured in Vietnam!   Oh wait that was Linden Johnson(D) that was responsible for that mess.

Never Mine  :sarcasm:

You’re talking my war now kid.

We were involved heavily in Vietnam before JFK was elected, we were financing 3/4 of the cost of the French occupation force when they were getting their ass kick at Dien Bien Phu , Ike wanted to use nukes but the French declined his offer, at that point the French are defeated Eisenhower/Nixon and the CIA take over, Eisenhower's Domino Doctrine starts our troop build up allover Indochina, the seeds of war were sown!

Kennedy wasn’t thrilled about Vietnam but the ball was in play, similar to the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam was another Eisenhower/Nixon CIA debacle.

JFK 35th President of the United States. In office. January 20, 1961 – November 22, 1963.
We had Military liaisons with the French force.
We had Military Advisers in country in 1955, two U.S. military advisors, Maj. Dale Buis and Sgt. Chester Ovnand, are the first admitted advisors killed on July 8th 1959 by Viet Minh guerrillas at Bien Hoa, South Vietnam. They are the first American deaths in the Indochina War which Americans will come to know simply as The Vietnam War.

A little history that I have learned.  In 1945 when the British liberated Veitnam (and Laos and Cambodia) from the Japanesse they told the people to form their own new government, which they did.  Ho Chi Min even copied our Constitution for the new nation.  The problem started when the French showed up at the end of that year to reclaim their "Colony", despite protest from us and the British.  Unfortuanly in the post war time with the cold war starting we didn't push the issue with the French.  This forced Ho Chi Min to turn to the only people that were willing to help him the USSR, and later Comunist China. Fast forward a few years and the French finally get their butt's handed to them by the Viet Min at Dion Bion Phu and sue for peace.  But on their way out the French plant a bug in our ear about the comunist taking over Veitnam (with us in the middle of a decade of Comunist Paranoia) knowing we would jump in to stop it.  Eisenhower's adminastration started to send aid and advisors to bolster the new "Democracy" that had established itself in the southern part of the country.  Kennedy continued that buildup, but was also looking for ways for us to extracate our selves from what was looking more and more like a civil war. (Some conspearacy theroist think that was why he was assasinated!) Johnson would, after the Gulf of Tonkin incident, push us in to full scale commitment of combat forces into Southeast Asia.  Unfortuanetly Johson and his advisors in Washington couldn't stop playing armchair general from 6000 miles away and consquently our military suffered. It would cost Johnson the presidency, and insure Nixon's election in 1968.  Nixon's mistake (the only one he would admit to in the Frost interveiws) was not bringing the North to it's knees sooner and getting a peace signed sooner.  By the time we did so in 1972 he had a growing political scandal  and a population that was tired of war, so we signed a peace that looked more like Munich 1938, especially to the South Veitnamesse.  So when the end came in 1975 we had lost a president to scandal and the will to fight in a war which we realiesed we shouldn't have been involved in the first place.  My final word on this is after forty years we keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

^I often hear that view from conservatives, but if it was up to you guys we'd still be fighting the Vietnam war.  It'd be much like Iraq, every time we try to get our troops out and end the war there's going to be a bunch of Republicans who say we need to keep a few thousand or so there, just for another two or three decades.

The "adviser" term with regard to Vietnam was the type of newspeak that would make Orwell proud.
