Brodkorb admits intimate relationship with Koch before his firing from Senate post
An attorney for fired Senate staffer Michael Brodkorb confirmed to the Associated Press that his client had an intimate relationship with former Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch.
Attorney Phil Villaume said the admission is in a notice of claim he filed with the state on Tuesday, March 13, as part of potential litigation.
Koch later admitted an affair with a male staffer but had refused to name him. The circumstances of Brodkorb's dismissal hadn't been revealed.
Brodkorb referred questions to Villaume. Koch did not immediately respond to a message from The Associated Press.
Also on Wednesday, the Minnesota Senate refused to mediate the complaint by Brodkorb.
Brodkorb lost his job in December, a day after Koch resigned
her leadership post over an "inappropriate relationship" with a staffer. He has since hired a lawyer to possibly sue the Senate over his dismissal.
"Despite repeated Senate requests to provide any factual basis for any dispute over his termination, Michael Brodkorb has failed and refused to do so," Senate secretary Cal Ludeman said in a written statement. "Despite Mr. Brodkorb's efforts to disrupt the work of the Senate in the current legislative session, to distract members of the Senate, to extort a payment from the Senate, and to try his so-called claims in the media, the Senate will not allow that to succeed."
Ludeman reiterated previous statements that Brodkorb was an "at will" employee, and could be terminated at any time.
Villaume has said possible claims include invasion of privacy and discrimination. Villaume also said Brodkorb would likely decide whether to sue by the end of March.
The Senate has also hired outside legal council, Ludeman has said.

the gal was a two ton tilly I hardly think it’s seduction..it’s more like Brodkorb sold his dignity for his position in the Republican organization...

It has nothing to do with party lines. I can remember a state senator ® from Albert Lea who is was a thief. She must have been trying to teach the kids that trait when she and a mall manager stole the letters off of a sign against a school referendum.
Of course with the kangaroo justice this county is so well known for, the fact that neither the city or county law enforcement would charge her or the attorney's offices prosecute her, she was let off the hook even with the paint can still in her hands.
