SAINT PAUL – As part of his ongoing commitment to get Minnesota working again, Governor Mark Dayton will kick off a statewide economic development tour tomorrow in Fergus Falls. The tour is aimed at gathering the best ideas on job creation from Minnesotans and to highlight Minnesota’s strong business climate and economic development opportunities. The Governor plans to do several stops in the coming weeks, culminating in a statewide jobs summit in October.

About the tour, Governor Dayton said:

“Getting Minnesota working again has been and will continue to be the top priority of my administration. Our commitment to a strong and growing economy is the cornerstone of everything that we do.”

“The next step is to tap our greatest resource for innovation and ideas – the people of Minnesota. In the coming weeks I’m looking forward to hearing about what’s working, and what’s not, from the people who are working everyday to create jobs and opportunity in Minnesota.”

My guess is, he won't be coming to Albert Lea.

Ho, Hum.  A State version of Obambi's "Magical Misery Tour."

What good do politicians think their mere PRESENCE will do to increase employment?  It is just another PR stunt to show "We Care" and "We're DOING SOMETHING."

Like the Magical Misery Tour--Long on Photo Ops--Short on specifics.

If Dayton REALLY wants to learn how to make the state thrive, maybe he should be going to Florida, where unemployment is down drastically.

Perhaps OHIO, where John Kasich has forged an alliance with the Dems to not only balance the budget, but to add a surplus--turning around one of the WORST state economies.

Perhaps SOUTH DAKOTA--perennial haven for companies fleeing high-tax Minnesota.

How about TEXAS--where the majority of all new jobs have been created?

How about NORTH DAKOTA, where businesses are LOOKING for workers?

If he is REALLY looking for what works--he needs to raise his sights a little.

Florida's unemployment has climbed from 10.6 percent to 10.7 percent, according to news this morning from the state Agency for Workforce Innovation.

"It's disappointing that they didn't go down," Scott said in an interview this morning with the Times/Herald. "The positive is we're still doing about 9,000 a month. But we still have 900,000 people out of work. We need to keep working at it every day."

Of the 10 most populous states, Florida ranks third-highest in unemployment.

Maybe Dayton can get some pointers from governor scott on how to get our 6.7% unemployment to be closer to Florida's 10.7%? :dunce:

Obambi is coming to town tomorrow to address the American Legion.

The Legion is petitioning him to DO SOMETHING about jobs for vets.

This should be good--Vets asking a guy who has never HAD a private-sector job about jobs.

Obambi--with typical libbie "loathing" of the military, is addressing the people with a military background--people who usually vote conservative.

Though he consistently refuses to provide specifics, Obambi usually comes up with the lame libbie idea of "balancing the budget with cuts in the military" (even though you could ELIMINATE all military spending and STILL not balance the budget--IF THE DONKS HAD EVER PASSED A BUDGET!)

Military people are directly concerned with cuts in equipment, personnel, support, and weapon systems--after all, their lives depend on having the best--and Obambi in his naivete thinks we can cut it.  It's time for military personnel to let Obambi know what they think of him--oh wait, the NATIONAL POLLS are already reflecting his plummeting polls!

Let's see how many Donks want to be seen with "The Messiah" this time around!

In the meantime, Dayton hasn't released his schedule for his own "magical mystery tour" after his initial "outing" in Fergus Falls.  A check on the Governor's website doesn't list any more stops for his quest to find a clue.   It will be interesting to see if he shows up with Barry tomorrow. :p

About as good as you complaining that government's to big, then you and your wife living off it. Have you both ever worked the private sector? And concession sales at college doesn't count.

When I think of all the kooks and Obama coming here, the secret service will be earning their keep.
