Fixed? They should be done away with. Do you know they can purchase gas for their city vehicles no questions asked?
I have a question though, how do we know what vehicle the gas is going into...what a freakin' joke!

So there was an audit and no individual was cited for possible criminal violations? Or is there more to the story?

There should be some carefully worded FOIA requests sent out requesting the financial records of the city so it can be examined line for line, transaction by transaction. With the "sunshine laws" that are in place the request CANNOT be denied

There was NO audit. All they did was basically put limits on the cards. Then business as usual. Still on the honor system.

Last I checked it was each department head, the city manager, and the mayor.
During a "pre-agenda" meeting 5-6 years ago their auditor said they should only have one card and the City Council completely ignored him. He mentioned there were some questionable charges but he wasn't required by law to report them to the state. At the end of the auditor's report there wasn't one question from anyone at that table.

I saw some headline, in the daily propaganda, about former mayor Randy Erdman going on some door to door campaign.
I think it had to do with the extension of the mayoral term.
He must really miss his City of Albert Lea credit card.
