We are inviting you to join us for Oktoberfest this coming weekend (Saturday Oct 23rd). Sorry for the late notice, but we had intended for an ad to run in the Albert Lea Tribune by now. We haven't seen it yet...have you? Please keep reading for more details. We'd appreciate a call to get a head count if you plan on joining us.
Attention Former Albert Lea Elks: You are invited!! Come on up and let's get acquainted! Bring the paperwork you received from the Grand Lodge and transfer your membership to Owatonna. Life memberships do apply pending lodge approval.
Please call Tom Nesvig at 507-456-4751 to tell us you are coming. And we'd appreciate a call by 6PM October 20th.
Happy hour starts at 4PM with special drink prices.
Dinner starts at 5PM and the menu includes:
BBQ Ribs, German potato salad, Reuben soup, and German Chocolate cake. And we are having special pricing on a keg of Schell's Oktoberfest that will be tapped fresh on the 20th! German music will be provided for entertainment and we'll even let you sing karaoke if you wish.
This dinner part of a recently formed Saturday Dinner Club committee. Our goal is to feature monthly dinner specials. All the food is prepared by volunteers (they are great cooks!) and all the waitstaff are volunteers as well. We are donating all proceeds towards club improvements.
Tickets are $7.95 in advance. We will have a few tickets for sale at the door for $9.00 as well, but not too many.
We'd love to have you visit us. Officers and our ER will be present for conversation. We have seen and talked to a few of you, but keep up your support of the Elks and come see what the Owatonna Lodge #1395 has to offer. We are currently working on a facelift for the exterior of our lodge and we have eager volunteers that are working on contributing to an Elks Care/Elks Share fund for club improvements. Thus far, we have installed new carpet throughout the entire lodge, repainted walls, and installed a stunning necrology board.
And lastly if you are on your way north this Sunday we have a brunch scheduled for this Sunday featuring made to order omelets. This brunch is entirely staffed and planned by volunteers and all proceeds go to club improvements. Call the club at 507-451-1395 for reservations, tickets, or further details.
