Hard to see the good ones go even at 83. I loved all of the shows/movies this man did. I thought it was especially sweet in an interview that he did awhile back in which he said that he wanted to be remembered as a good husband, good father, and a "GREAT" grandfather with that twinkle in his eye and big smile of his. I bet he was a very good grandfather...how couldn't he be...I mean, afterall he WAS Mr. "C". Neat man!!
The last movie I saw him in he looked rather frail. He still had that signature smile and laugh, it was the Jennifer Lopez movie where she had twins. He played the grandmother's boyfriend. I almost didn't recognize him as he had gotten so thin.
He'll be missed.

Might I add Barbara Billingsley ? She was Beavers mom on the series Leave it to Beaver. Although a little before my time. I loved it in reruns and again with my children. She was in her 90's and a classy lady. God rest her soul.
Everyone has their "celebrity" story, mine just happens to be Tom Bosley.
It was in 1978 at the height of the Happy Days craze, and my parents ran a boat rental service in the Florida Keys. One morning my older brother ran into the TV room and yelled, "MR. CUNNINGHAM IS RENTING OUR BOAT!"
I ran out to follow him and there was Tom Bosley with his family, finishing up he paperwork to rent our family's personal boat. I remember how weird it was to me that his kids were all excited about our boring old boat when Richie Cunningham's dad was standing right there on the dock.
He and my dad shook hands, and my dad said, "We really enjoy your show." Then my dumbass brother asked, "Is Fonzie coming?'
Mr. Bosley smiled weakly and said, "I'm afraid he's busy son, but it's nice meeting you."
He walked along to the end of the dock and just looked at our boat for what seemed like a full minute of silence, and then he turned into a small white cat and flew into the clouds, leaving his family with ours on the dock.
Wow. Not sure where all that came from. I've never even lived in Florida. Maybe it's the Ambien.
