What follows is a link to the Hillsdale College and a transcript from a lecture by Maurice McTigue, former New Zealand Cabinet Minister. He explains how government SHOULD be. He makes dozens of excellent points. So many that it is difficult to find one or two to highlight. This is exactly what we should be doing here. Constructive comments please. Maybe I am not just a voice in the wind. http://www.hillsdale.edu/newimprimis/2004/april/

You can have it: 1. Right 2. Cheap 3. Fast (pick two)

Adamwpuyear--good reading--mirrors what billionaire Dick Smith tried to do with the head of the Aviation Administration in nearby Australia. Smith tried to put government on a businesslike, accountability program--but ultimately was defeated by the sheer inertia of the government, unwilling to actually continue to make the needed reform.
New Zealand is a small, sparsely populated country--analogous to our American West. They are famously self-reliant, and only have two major cities to harbor liberals. It would be difficult to enact these reforms in a country the size of the U.S.--but we can hope!
Since you are a "new guy" on the Forum (but I like your attitude!), A word of (unsolicited) advice--you will get more people discussing specific items than an entire article. (I think it has to do with the short attention span of those liberals--those with a small L!) (sarcasm)
