From now on we are going to require registration to post. People can still read what others have to say but now you'll have to register if you'd like to post.
Registration is painless and it only takes a few seconds of your time and afterwards you will be able to post in any of the forums.

The reason for changing to a registration system is that some of the moderators felt that the forum was becoming a free for all. We thought that this might cut down on that problem and get people back to discussing current events and ideas (instead of people).

Just a suggestion, but you might add this announcement to all the forums - it'll guarantee that everyone who needs to see it will be able to find it.

Admin: i for one support your decision to require the registration of those wishing to post on this forum! i firmly believe that one must take responsibility for their comments. hiding behind the term "Guest" was way to easy to avoid the issue. hopefully this will instill some civility into the postings!

I support booting out Hoosier. His moronic threats should NOT be tolerated and he's not the guy we want to be taking advice from on how to run a forum.
He's the one out of control for crying out loud.

Minnow, Hoosier explained that it was a post from you (or a person posting as you) that set him off. If it wasn't you that made the post, then the new rule will keep a misunderstanding like that from happening again.
If anyone is out of control, it is all the 'guest' and 'registered-name-using' trolls. I support the change, and I also support dropping the issue you have with Hoosier. If you must continue, please take it to PM because it's getting old out here.

I have to SMILE>.....seems like running this is harder than you all thought. Having said that, I support this and think you should do more...Hoosier posts some things that are way out of line and hurts the whole page. Minnow is just either stupid or just posts to get a reaction since the posts are so off the wall but at least he is not on Hoosiers level.

After all the name calling that minnow does on here, I don't see how anyone can be surprised if someone gets a little ticked off.
minnow- if you go around insulting people on this board all the time, like you always have, people are gonna get mad. If your so concerned about your safety, don't act like a jerk, otherwise quit crying about it & move on!
