SB - you already have the claim to both of those.
Yes, share more details on this community. Maybe the folks of A.L. can send a couple people to go check it out and learn from them.

^^ all AL has to do is elect leaders, not pantywaists, cut tax deals with interested businesses especially in this phenomenal economy we’re in and run the riff raft out of town like you and a few others so decent folks will want to live there again.
As far as patterning AL for success? All you have to do is look at cities like Mankato, Rochester, Owatonna and a few others. Telling you where I’ll eventually retire to? Well, I’d like to keep crime down.

What is the population that this small town hospital serves? Not the 2,500 of the town the entire service area.
Is it a private or municipal facility?
How many other medical facilities are within roughly an hour drive? Are any of them considered a full specialist facility that people from around the world go to?
Does it provide a full gambit of services and at all times? For example do they have their own MRI or do they rely on a mobile one to come through on a schedule?
Mankato has a full college. Rochester has Mayo and colleges and much other industry. Owatonna is the only legit comparison and they do have the advantage of being a shorter drive to the cities.

^^ you whine and whine
The area is much like AL area as far as population spread
It’s private
There are quite a few facilities within an hour, they’re small but at least it’s much more than AL
Albert lea had a college at one time, they have a votech and they’ve had plenty opportunities and as I said, have superior logistics including two freeways, two US highways, two railroads and a small airport that I believe is capable of small jets and has the ability to expand.
The subject is a mayoral race, leadership, I know little about the candidates but I do recognize AL’s lack of leadership. It’d Been a vacuum since before I left, nothing more than a good ol boys club of lackeys and morons .

Please point out where I was whining. Asked legit questions and you really provided no answers, which is exactly what I expected.
You are correct on the poor selection of mayor candidates that town has had for a very long time.

Rasmussen has no business as Mayor. We need someone who cares about our number one issue and can do something about it then constantly recuse himself. If he indeed did care he would have stepped down by now. Arrogance has him running again . Nothing else.

Just listening to Vern's talk on the radio. One of his comments is the population of A. Lea has grown since he has been mayor. On party line today, they were talking about the pop. of this town. In 2010 it was over 18,000. As of 2017, it is 17,050. What is wrong with this picture?

I see Rasputin was re elected, by less than 200 votes. Does this mean AL will continue with their current growth?
