Did you get to see what they bought? Anybody order one of those Hammer Drivers?

Seems like everybody I know their modems flash all the time. Regardless of the carrier.

I can remember way way back when Kare 11 or somebody did a drive around and was accessing all sorts of peoples internet, as well.

You could set up some sort of monitoring system. There used to be a guy, on the now defunct Austin chat board, that had something like that. He ran a B & B in Rose Creek. He always claimed Mower County deputies were using accessing his WiFi to watch porn.

They purchased at FORMSWIFT.COM $39.95 X 4  in one day and $1.00 X 3

Full refund from Chase Bank..

Sounds like someone did a little packet sniffing, and ended up with your CC number(S). That, or your system is so insecure to begin with, that, well...

Set up a WPA2 password. If you're still using WEP, your network can be hacked by someone with a laptop and some rudimentary IT skills. Better yet, skip the wireless altogether, and hard-wire into your modem.

My modem only blinks a couple times every 10 seconds with Charter Internet.. People I know with Charter Internet have a modem that never stops blinking and its because their WiFi is being used by others in their neighborhood.. I wouldn't care if they used the internet as long as they stayed out of my personal chit.. Most just want access to the internet.. In my case they were also invading my privacy and turning off my firewall.. They can work on your computer in a virtual mode without you knowing and its done remotely.. Crazy Chit Man..

Wiki Leaks released CIA programs that allows users to spy on you and steal your information..

Reinstalled my software 30 times in 5 months because they would shutdown my access to the internet.. :hairpull:

I am hard wired and wifi has been removed from my computer.. No more problems..

Not having a router really limits your use for things like Smart TVs.

My desk top is hardwired (modem) with a more secure line, but I do have wifi/router for other equiptment..

My question would be similar to Boto's, did you have the security on your router set to  WPA/WPA2-Personal(PSK). or higher encryption?

Set to WPA2 Personal..

I still use my WIFI for my Roku's and Printer.. When done I unplug the router and my Roku's along with turning off the printer.. They love hidden networks like Roku's or any WIFI connection to gain access to the internet.. They have slipped me a funky notification and as soon as you close it they're in.. My router SSID is not discoverable and Roku's are private but they still gain access.. Removed my Bluetooth because they were also using it to gain access..

Told the neighbor that I caught their son in my computer and has cost me hundreds of dollars in a wrecked computer and hard drive..

She looked at me and said they don't have internet service..  But her son's WIFI Router SSID is their family name along with other multiple accounts using a Netgear Wireless Router.. Within days a new internet account appeared using AT&T.. The kid is still addicted to jacking with people's lives..

They can see my hidden networks.. :frusty:

Its been my worst nightmare since being flooded with raw sewage..

Maybe it's just time to give up on that neighborhood...
