If they start investigating perhaps we should see how deep the "rabbit hole" goes

The overseers of the U.S. intelligence community have not embraced a CIA assessment that Russian cyber attacks were aimed at helping Republican President-elect Donald Trump win the 2016 election, three American officials said on Monday.

While the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) does not dispute the CIA's analysis of Russian hacking operations, it has not endorsed their assessment because of a lack of conclusive evidence that Moscow intended to boost Trump over Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, said the officials, who declined to be named.

QUOTE
"ODNI is not arguing that the agency (CIA) is wrong, only that they can't prove intent," said one of the three U.S. officials. "Of course they can't, absent agents in on the decision-making in Moscow."

But instead, lets politicize the hell out of this red herring.  Shouldn't most investigations such as this be done behind closed doors before making an announcement, to keep it from being politicized as it is being done now?

Putin blames Hillary in Russian 2011 election

You quote Director of National Intelligence James Clapper who's also been hacked.

To say these hacks weren't used to influence election results is just the partisan in you..Why was it just the dirt on one party/candidate that was released to Wikileaks and fed to the public?

I'm sure it's because your candidate/party is as pure as the driven snow..

Far from being clean but a hell of a lot cleaner than the garbage the dems ran this time :flame:

Face it, we're looking at an agency under the influence of Buster, he wants his legacy preserved.

Trump believed Obama was born in Kenya without proof, and many conservatives now believe Clinton and Podesta have some kind of brothel in the basement of a pizza place, also without proof.  So how is it the experts from both private and public cyber forensics investigating aren't enough proof to those same people?   ???

No where in that does it state or confirm beyond a reasonable doubt.

Geez, where have you been?  I was about to ask G.I.L. if you needed bail money or something.  When you're gone for a while a figure there's been an ATF raid that got you.   :sarcasm:

"Reasonable doubt"?  We're not trying to convict Russia before an American jury.

Coming from the same outfit that sold us the lie of WMD, in Iraq, but this is believable?  pfft, what-ever.

That's the same thing Trump has said in response, but it wasn't the intelligence community to blame for that, it was politicians cherry-picking intelligence.  You didn't see the heads of the intelligence agencies themselves testifying to it, instead it was George W., Colin Powell, Cheney, etc.  If public intelligence agencies aren't enough, for much of the past year the private experts have been claiming it was also.
