Trump doesn't have the permission of the Syrian government or the United Nations.
Playing devil's advocate here but did Obama get permission from Pakistan or the UN to go after Bin Laden?
I've made my opinion on all this needless involvement clear in the past, I don't approve no matter if it's a Republican or a Democrat running the show..We haven't been involved in just military action in the past 70 years.
As for Obama, I was disappointed in his foreign policy but felt he was smart enough not to let things escalate to full blown war. With Trump this guy is dangerously dumb.
Obama had Congresses backing, S.J. Res. 21- 113th Congress..it called for limited response because Syria had allegedly used chemical weapons. but specified no troops on the ground.
I'm not aware of any such backing of Trump, he's made a unilateral move to war, the emperor Trump is going in to Syria on his own prerogative..
Gil, there's a big difference between a predator drone and B52 strike... or small elite team raid or sending the 24th Marine Expeditionary force accompanied by units of the 82nd Airborne...

Okay, so you get that. Why, then, are you so incapable of looking at Trump with the same critical eye?

^^ seems that that would be true with any president or loser like stroke lady.
He can't answer any question about a Republican without changing to the subject to attack a Dem. Roger Stone and Reince Priebus played a Jedi mind trick on him, it's like a religious cult. Just turn on Breitbart or infowars and leave the room.

Totally against the targeted killing program in Yemen, whether it's Obama or Trump. But if they do it, I'd say rolling thunder is going to be a far bigger mistake than a predator drone. I get G.I.L.'s point about permission, but comparing a drone strike to carpet bombing makes it apples and oranges.

A president doesn't need permission from the un, at most it is a heads up to the many tin pot dictators that make up the security council, second of all, why would any person announce their intent to attack? You only get one chance for a "SURPRISE" we attack you.
As for Pakistan, asking for permission to go in and get obl, was risked, for fear that someone in the Pakistan govt would tip off obl, since they were kind enough to give obl a nice place to hide out in.

Damn I get tired of your asinine accusations of being a republic rat. But once again, please take that assumption and cram it up you ass.
Roger J. Stone Jr., an informal adviser to President Trump, has been asked by the Senate Intelligence Committee to preserve any records he may have in connection to a broader inquiry into Russian attempts to interfere with United States elections.
Mr. Stone confirmed the existence of the letter, which was dated Feb. 17. However, he said he had received it only on Friday, by email. Stone has acknowledged trading messages over Twitter with Guccifer 2.0, the online persona that officials believe was actually Russian intelligence officers.
The letter to Mr. Stone was signed by the committee’s chairman, Senator Richard M. Burr, Republican of North Carolina, and its ranking Democrat, Senator Mark Warner of Virginia. Press officers for Mr. Burr and Mr. Warner declined to comment on the letter.
Trump is back at it again..these Mar a Lago weekends are going to bankrupt US Maybe if Mr. Trump would cut all this needless travel we could fund Meals on Wheels or heating assitance or some other compassionate program to help our less fortunate citizens.. things the Trump budget cuts, there should be some cuts on this guys extravagant life style on our dime..
The affair began with the arrest of five men for breaking and entering into the DNC headquarters. The FBI investigated and discovered a connection between the burglars and a slush fund used by the President. Evidence mounted against the President's staff, including testimony provided by former staff members in an investigation conducted by the Senate Watergate Committee. -----------------------------------------------------------------

Nixon and Trump scandals appear to be similar except that Trump has not yet resigned..
