I seem to remember you and a few others here trying to shovel that crap "obamacare will fix everything"

You should quote the post where someone on here said "Obamacare will fix everything".  I don't remember anyone saying that, but I sure hear a lot of Republicans claim they heard it or saw it someplace.

I do remember some of us didn't like seeing our friends and relatives getting turned down for pre-existing conditions, especially young people.

about $1400 in loans that I paid back?

No, I meant grants.  Hence why I used the word "grants", those aren't paid back.

And I pay dearly for the roads I use.

Truckers don't pay nearly enough for the roads.  That's why they keep raising the cost for the rest of us at the DMV every year.

1.Fix everything? no, how about "we have to pass it to find out what's in it", ring a bell?

2.Wow, I said loans, paid back loans, grants didn't amount to squat.

3.One truck last year paid about 12k in taxes, but if you don't think it's enough, by all means raise it. I love it when dish!ts think taxes aren't past along.

I had a conversation with my son this weekend, he's recently struck out on his own, free enterprise  :D . The subject of health insurance came up, he was quoted $5000 for a year, wow, this kid is 27, in perfect health, doesn't smoke and he's quoted 5K?

He has friends that are in the same boat, he's choosing the follow suite with them, take the penalty, in his bracket he's looking $2600 or so. If he gets hurt or sick? Quick get a bustercare policy, he can't be refused for a pre existing.

It sounds as if quite a few young ones are doing this, all things considered the fine is a bargain compared to the premium.

Well that's part of what's wrong with ACA, sick people sign up, those that are healthy avoid paying premiums causing the cost of said premiums to increase..on the flip-side we see gouging by the pharmaceutical and healthcare robber barons.

Your son may find himself in a bind, I'm no expert on the ACA but since he's missed his open enrollment by choice he might have blew his chance at getting picked up immediately should he have medical issues...he may have to wait for the next enrollment dates..

Not to worry, the Military provides medical coverage to all inductees, The chicken hawk Trump plans to field an Army, has threatened to fire the top Generals says he knows more about the Military, and replace those Generals with political yes men who have never held field commands...I'm sure Ted Nugent will be instantly promoted to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff...

I seriously doubt we'll have anyone under the age of 30 left alive...

here's your hero the chicken hawk playing Army, I wonder if one of those phony little ribbons on his chest is for grabbing pussies..

Tell him to latch on to his wife's union job benefits like you did.

Mrs. SB's not union, far too much integrity. Before she had benefits I wrote the check for healthcare.

What happened to "ignore "?  I know, I am adorable.

Family of 6. Two in college and two in grade school. They adopted two kids from a third world country and this is the kick in the nuts they get.
Bro:  Do you know how much my health insurance premiums are increasing by next year?
Me: i know what's coming No. What?
Bro:  From $750 to $1700 per month.
Bro:  Guess who I'm voting for!?!

Now the lobs here can try and reason all you want but you're a fool to ever try and justify this health care insurance scam. I wouldn't expect less from those supporting a candidate who has committed worse crimes than Nixon. nuff said

Just got our annual renewal for my corporate insurance for next year.  We've been Aetna for medicial for about 5 years now and UnitedHealth for dental.
Aetna initial proposal was they wanted a 40% increase.  Our company went back and asked them for 20% they came back at 25%. We informed them that the national average was only 12-15% increase in premiums so we countered with 10%.  In the end we settled on a 9% increase. Which thankfully my company said they'd pay the difference this year and not pass on the increase.
As for dental... United wanted to do 300% increase. We told them to go pound sand and swtiched our dental over to Aetna as well and they matched last years dental premiums so no change there.  This is the first year in about 7 that I haven't seen my premiums go up.  I will take that, although I am still shelling out about 1500/month for family medical/dental and eye care. (this includes my STD/LTD and some small life insurance policies.)

After we screw up health care reform, let's take on the initiative of unscrewing the education system (gov't education)
