On the old forum I predicted 10-6, I guess 9-7 is pretty close.
The Vikings got what they deserved for the way they played. 2 weeks ago they looked like a top rated team against the Chiefs, only to fold to the worst-rated defense in the entire league. My opinion is that the play calling was moronic, the coaching was lacking to say the least, and the players seemed not really into playing this game. Perhaps Tice was doing a favor for his buddies over in Green-Bay by letting them have the division title, a gift for a QB who lost his father.
Who am I kidding? They played like scared little girls starting week 7. It’s time to get a new owner who will actually pay for a real coach and will make a commitment to keep the Vikings in Minnesota. Until that happens, I don’t expect to see anything more than seasons like this past one.
Oh and packerbacker- the Pack may win next week at home but have no chance on the road. Remember, they lost to Arizona too.

Tice and Coaching staff are back for another year. Isn't that Something. Also heard that Dennis is down in Arizona looking for a job.

Minneapolis Tribune................. Red McCombs Has no intention of replacing any of the coaching staff and signs Tice for another year.
Mike TiceTice keeps his job Mike Tice will be back as coach of the Minnesota Vikings next season. Vikings owner Red McCombs said today that he never had thoughts of replacing Tice or any other members of the coaching or front-office staff despite Sunday's crushing loss that kept his team out of the playoffs.

Lets face it. The defense has played pretty well lately, but not well enough. We need to draft to shore up our defensive backfield.

I think the vikings should be on the recieving end of a trade like the Walker trade, this time involving Randy Moss. By the way, I have been a Cowboys fan for about thirty years, thank you so much Minnesota for that trade.
But any way, the Vikings dont know, and will never know how to use Moss to his fullest potential. Culpepper is a loser, and this team needs a coach like a Bill Parcells that would come in and shape things up instead of being buddy, buddy. Trade Moss, maybe even Culpepper in the process, get a $hitload of number one picks over the next two or three years. Next thing you know, you are winning your third super bowl in four years. Hey, it worked for the Cowboys,
Vikings, first and only team in NFL history to have a four game lead in their division and not win it. Classic Vikings.
Watch out, the Cowboys are back.

Yes, Hoosier - Thank god culpepper, moss, tice and the rest of the queens all suck. I was watching the AZ game and with two minutes left I somehow knew we still had a chance even though the queens were up by 11 points...you somehow expect it - I guess that's why they call them the queens! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha But don't take it so hard - the better team won and we will do a much better job of representing the NFC North in the playoffs. Chumps!

Here's an idea...
Hire Spurrier to be our Offensive coordinator. Something tells me he would have fun using Moss/Burleson/Campbell - yeah, I know - pipe dream. McCombs won't put up enough money (and Spurrier wouldn't bite off enough of his ego) to make this work. But I think it'd be fun to watch
Also - Tice is an above average coach. I say give him at least two more years. It takes players (yes, even pro ones) a little time to get acclimated to a system and get a previous one out of their mind.
One coach who should be let go of is Rusty Tillman - the special teams coach. He is pathetic.
