Wonder how far north they are going to bring front street since they have the parking lot for blazing star trail. Unless they extend the driveway to it or have side streets if it's going to have lots of propertys through their.

More than ten years ago the Albert Lea City Council voted to deny Walgreens from opening a store at the corner near Main Street. The comment by Fjelstad was "let's see if something better comes along."

For dumb that would have been a ok location for walgreen. But they seem to be doing ok where their at.

Walgreens may be doing well where they are now, but had they gone to the former farmland site, on the corner, it would have opened up for other development. A couple of years ago it was talked about being redeveloped for recreation like soccer fields. The question if they open lakefront, is who sells it, how much and who gets the money?
