^nope, he should have the book thrown at him, stripped of his congressional seat. But our lax judicial system and two sided courts will prevail for him.

Plus I believe all welfare recipients should be drug tested :D

Our judicial system isn't lax, the U.S. incarcerates citizens at a higher rate than any other country on the globe.  That's the opposite of lax, and most are in prison for non-violent offenses.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy, and the difference in sentencing when the guy has money and power versus the average American.

Yes, there are lots of folks in prison for non violent crimes but in this country, if you got money or influence, you pretty much walk.

I remember when OJ walked, my first thought was "finest justice money can buy"

At what point did our system of justice become a for-profit enterprise?

You must be referring to former President Bill Clinton when he was caught for perjury and obstructing justice.

I can see that.

The dems need someone who will be up front with America and show us how they are willing to spend more than they have.

^ yea-right, like that'll happen. The Dems just stacked the deck in their favor with minimum majority filibuster deal.  :(

It they lose the majority and the presidency I wonder how fast they'll scream "unfair"!
