Anyone else heard that Jaxx is closing? I've heard this from several people. IF it is true, why? I thought that was the place to be.

Drinkings passe. DWI put a stop to that. It used to be most everyone under 50 would go to the local hot spot and then show up at Perkins after bar hours. I remember when Back 40 in Mason would be off the hook.
No more...
Now it's mostly high school and college age kids gettin' their drink on...
Plus, the quality of cannabis has skyrocketed in the last 20 years and one or two hits will set you right up, won't get you a DWI and won't wreck your body with a nasty hangover.

That's gotta be some kind of record.
3T turned it into a pot rant on post number two.
I'd heard they already were closed.

Yes, it's ok to talk about the drug alcohol and it's never about drugs, yet when cannabis is mentioned, of course, it's all about drugs...
Get off yer high horse...

You Know since the VFW sold the Bld. There has been Top Shelf, Touch of Class, Your Place, and Jaxx. (Did I Miss One)? Eveything that has went in there has tried to be an upscale trend setting bar. If I owned it I think I would Try the Philly's Theme Up Stairs and The Cheers Theme Downstairs. Good Luck to Grumpys.

It is amazing, it's a nice place, nice location, yet no one has been able to keep it open.

There's simply not much money in the bar business anymore. Between insurance and drunk driving, most people find it easier and safer to just drink at home.
