One of the administrators in the Freeborn County jail is on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

The Freeborn County Board of Commissioners met in closed session Tuesday morning to discuss performance issues of Jail Administrator Marcelino Pena.

Freeborn County Sheriff Bob Kindler said Pena has been on paid leave since July 23.

He has worked for the Sheriff’s Office since 2004.

Kindler said the investigation is expected to conclude in two to three weeks, and he could not release any further details at this time.

Does anyone know if Arnold is still part of the old Harig group? He's been there for years.

I'm pretty sure Gene Arnold retired around the time Harig left.

As far as I am concerned the investigation on Pena has been long overdue.  

I believe Gene Arnold retired when Harig wasn't re-elected and I think, yet am not certain, that he works for Northstar Power Sports now.
