Happy Birthday GIL, your posts are logical and well written, you lean right as I lean left, maybe there's a balance point to be achieved...

We agree on somethings and don't on others, like most families I guess. That's what happens when you're brought up in a house with parents that are opposite politically I guess.

Thanks Expat, I try to keep most of my posts short and to the point and not get up in all the name calling, as it doesn't advance the discussion. I am open to all viewpoints, whether or not I agree going into a discussion, often times I learn something new when I keep an open mind. Your opinion on my political leaning mirrors others. My left leaning friends say I'm right leaning, my right leaning friends say I'm left leaning. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle. Which is probably why I can never get fully behind a candidate for major elections. This year is the absolute worst, I have been so turned off on the political process that I am hardly engaged anymore. I mean seriously, look at our candidates. You have Hillary who has questionable judgements, Trump, the loud mouth uncle (I've already compared him to Zubaz), the rest of the repubs aren't anything to write home about. I'd love to like Carson, but he seems to be off his rocker now too with the questionable tales in his biography. Fiorina I don't know enough about, the rest of the Repubs are worthless and not worth mentioning. Then there's Bernie, whom I feel will actually be the Dem nominee. I'm not sure where I with him. He wants to be this cool outsider but in reality he's just another guy whose been in politics forever, is it all smoke and mirrors with him?
Any way, I've rambled on too much. Had a great birthday with the family, neighbor girls made me a 2 layer white cake with buttercream frosting. I'm more blessed than I deserve, but very thankful!

Ha, well I won't be quite that old, I'm only 42 so I got a few years yet before i stop giving a sh!t. We survived 8 years of W. We'll survive 8 years of Obama. That's 16 years wasted in my opinion. Can we afford to waste another 4 or 8 years on another loser POTUS?
