Has anyone here looked at this plan? I mean seriously looked at this plan? I don't mean listening to talking points from pundit's...but seriously looked at this plan...by yourself...using your own brain...to come to your own conclusion? Herman Cain 999 Plan
If elected...he would be the first black president in a country that was built in part by slavery. What an extraodinary feat that would be.

I personally just started looking at this last night and have not had a chance to really digest it all yet. I like the fact he wants to scrap the entire IRS, I think that is a great start.

Is like a democrat with a private sector Jobs Plan x23 Both parties suck. The sooner we all realize it the better we'll be.

He is running for the GOP nomination but is more of Libertarian from what I've read.

It's not a new plan, Hermann started out with the Fairtax and has apparently modified it now. It hasn't gained traction in the past because all it does is increase taxes on the middle class, cut taxes (even more) to the rich, and benefit the poor more because everyone gets a check once a month under the prebate. Even the Fox moderator pointed out that the experts know that's the effect, which Hermann throws aside but doesn't bother to cite a single source to back it up.
Odd that people don't want tax increases, but be okay with the vast majority of people, the middle class, having a dramatic increase in their taxes if a republican CEO says it will be "fair".

I like it, then everyone's got "skin in the game"
That's what the marketing says, but every bit of research shows that the middle class will lose a lot more skin than the poor or rich. In other words, it's the current tax system on steroids.
