Great article. Hopefully more Americans will now be fed up enough with our media that things have to change. I haven't read or watched corporate sponsored media for years. Any of you get the LinkTV channel? I have Dish Network and it's offered through them. Our media disgusts me. They also have a website if anyone isn't able to get their channel.

Shouldn't we  be upset about our government and trying to do something about it? Shouldn't we be upset that OUR media won't give it attention? We should be very upset and even more afraid.

The US Day of Rage organizers said, “Unfortunately, free and fair elections are a thing of the past in America. Because of recent Supreme Court decisions, money is flowing freely and unaccountably into the American electoral process. Elections will be swayed by interests opposed to those of the United States. Corporations, even those owned by foreign shareholders, will and do use money to act as the voices of millions, while individual citizens, the legitimate voters, are silenced and demoralized by the farce of American Democracy.”

Ok. I feel something should be said here.

First of all, Fox DID run a segment (tho short) on the Day of Rage. They even explained a bit what it was about. They gave it due diligence. Was that ALL they covered? No. But then again, lately, I have noticed they don't spend too much time covering any one topic unless it is true breaking news.

Secondly, can the citizens of America PLEASE get it right? I mean, first we are complaining that Fox is too conservative and Rebublican leaning, CNN to Centrist leaning and MSNBC are too Liberal or too Democratic leaning. Now it seems (according to the article) that they ALL are too conservative, and aren't being fair to anyone who wants to say anything. I think I am officially confused (sig not withstanding).

Finally, I personally have an objection to the title. "Day of Rage", yet it is quite the peaceful protest...kind of like the sit-in protests of the 70s. With a name of "Day of Rage" wouldn't one be inclined to expect...well...rage??? What are they angry at???

That said, it WAS an interesting article.

Yeah, should be called Day of Peaceful Anger...or somethin like that. I hope it stays peaceful, and I hope it grows.

Was watching Fox at 2 this morning...they had nothing BUT coverage on this particular protest. Apparently, the group didn't even know what they were going to protest until right before they started...and there were only 300 who showed up. Like me, the news people were seriously questioning the name (Day of Rage), when it seemed quite entertaining for those who were present.

Was Fox covering it live at 2AM? From what I've found, some news sources say only a few hundred showed up, but most news says at least two thousand have shown up. Too bad the area they wanted to locate to for the protest had been barricaded before the protesters got there. I still hope it grows.

When I had Dish I'd watch World Link's Mosaic news show. I think people would change some of their opinions on the Middle East if more people watched it.

When they show scenes of suicide bombings it's unreal, I've seen Rabbis out picking up the larger pieces and putting them in great big zip lock bags, and I'm assuming the rest would have had to been washed off because there was nothing there. There was one bombing where they had a camera shot from the roof of a building and it looked like someone had fired a great big red paintball into the street.

Another interesting thing about Mosaic is that Iran often has mandatory protests against the US after Friday prayers. That's how they get a bazillion Iranians out in the streets burning American flags. It would be interesting to know how the average Iranian really feels about America.
