How is it treason? 18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
Was war levied? NO Has Russia been declared an enemy to the state? NO Has any aid or comfort been given to said enemy? NO
The whole thing is a crap-show and while this languishes on, it is taking up congressional resources that could be put to better use.

If we haven't learned anything by now it's that since watergate, the elite protect themselves. It doesn't matter how many Russia collusions or email scandal we have, nothing will stick. The government is no longer for the people. It is a self serving cesspool of elites looking to enrich themselves and their buddies.

They (Trump's people) have been saying since this came up that they did not have anything to do with Russia. Yet, here is proof that they did. They willingly and very excitedly ("Love it") setup and met with what they thought was an attorney with the Russian Government who they thought had information on Clinton that was coming from the Russian Government that would help their campaign. May not be illegal but is wrong, and shows a total lack of integrity.
Yes, Congress has a lot of more important things to do. However, we have now established a pattern of lying, underhandedness, and win at all costs coming from our President and his people. I'm sorry to say that in my opinion nothing they say or do can be believed or trusted. And because of that, they will have a horrible time getting anything accomplished. This continual back and forth of finger pointing and non belief by the Trumper's (people who blindly follow and believe anything that the Trump people say) will completely bog down our already messed up political system and nothing at all is going to be accomplished.
If Trump was any leader at all, he would gather all his people together and tell them that this whole thing is a mess and totally out of hand. He needs to tell them that he wants every little bit of possible information that could come up that at all looks like something that the media and the D's want to make into something. He then he needs to bring it all public. Tell everyone everything that went on that could at all be perceived as an issue. And then layout how things should move forward and restate all his agenda and a timeline for it. Until that happens, Congress is not going to function. .
^^It was the coverup that took Nixon out, Trump has been in denial of information he was privy to all along. Donald Jr. may have sunk the boat but it's Jared Kushner and Trump who will pay the price, we're talking criminal action by violating the laws regarding the application for a security clearance by not reporting this attempt to obtain information from a hostile foreign power.
Watch Wray's confirmation hearings live or from the beginning.. From the questioning so far I'd say Trump's goose is cooked.
