last nite we had a planned dinner engagement uptown in a.lea. my sister has a handicap sticker. near the restaurant there are no designated hc parking stalls. i decided i would get there early & save a vacated parking stall in front of the establishment. many people were gracious & understanding, how ever one car load became quite belligerent even after i had informed them of the situation. i am just glad that it did not escalate into a ugly scene! maybe they were already into the sauce. eventually they gave up the confrontation & moved on. the drinks were good, the pianist was excellent as was the food. the evening turned out to be a great time!

Good for you for standing your ground without things getting ugly.
Went to a spring garden/leisure show a couple years ago to find a cop car in a handicapped stall. There was no other handicapped stall available for me. When I got inside, there were a lady cop and a guy cop smoozing each other. I asked which one parked in my stall, got a real nasty response, so I told 'em to go to hell, asked for badge numbers and called it in.
Surprisingly I wasn't arrested/harrassed.
