Do we really have people that sit in DC all day and think of new ways to add more agencies that can spend more money?

QUOTE
On March 27, census data showed the Mankato area passed a population of 50,000, triggering a federal requirement to organize a new agency to get planning money.
In total, the area could get $300,000 per year in state and federal planning money when it forms a so-called “metropolitan planning organization,” or MPO, said Bobbi Retzlaff, principal transportation planner with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

I am not necessarily saying the creation of this MPO is a bad thing, but making it a requirement when a city hits 50k?
And then giving them up to 300k per year?  What the hell are you gonna spend that money on year after year?

No, years of Paul Sparks took care of that.  :frusty:

Grassman, thanks for conjuring up old memories with your pic.

It's not that I don't believe in helping the poor or less fortunate, where I disagree with you is how much we help before it becomes a permanent crutch in ones life.
It is not the fault of the person making $2,500,000 or $250,000 for the person making $25,000.
