Is the point that the US is a capitalistic country, therefore it is owned and run by self-serving capitalists? Seems that way to me. :(

Distilled down, this whole mess might sound like this:

"I do not support Romney or Obama. They are both bought off by the same cabal of international corporations and banks. George Bush and Cheney should be tried for war crimes and Obama should be impeached. Remember they work for us we do not work for them."

Two days--no replys to your "expose".  (edited--the two responses above came in while typing this).

Politicians--both Repub and Donk--tell us how great these public servants are--and most of them ARE well qualified in the industry.  Would you expect them to NOT go back to an industry they are well-qualified in? :dunno:   Perhaps go to monastery? :sarcasm:

Perhaps you would prefer that people NOT have any experience in an industry when they are appointed by big government?  That hasn't worked out too well, has it?

ESPECIALLY for our boy at the top!

I can see the libbie-approved want ads now--

Successful applicants must have NO EXPERIENCE in this field.  Ties to current administration required.
:sarcasm:

I thought Obozo was going to NOT allow people to lobby for several years after leaving office, and promised to not hire lobbyists.  Just more campaign lies rhetoric.

Wow Jim, I thought even you would see the problem that all of this is.

Do I want people who are supposed to be watching out for us going through revolving doors of the people they are supposed to be protecting us from? Hell no. And I don't want our government being run by anyone other than we the people. Connect some dots Jim.

Robert Rubin :1993-1995. 1999 Rubin and Summers repealed Glass Steagall
1999 He goes to work for Citigroup-Citigroup shareholders suffered losses of more than 70% since Mr. Rubin joined the firm-Mr. Rubin was reportedly critical to securing the latest federal bailout of Citi -- $20 billion in preferred shares plus taxpayers taking on most of the risk in a $306 billion portfolio of dodgy assets. This is on top of the $25 billion in Citi preferred shares that taxpayers bought in October. 1999-2008 Robert Rubin made a total of $115 million since 1999, not including stock options. Rubin asked the US Treasury Department to not downgrade Enron's rating before it collapsed.
Larry Summers asked for no cap restrictions on Executive bonuses for the bailout.

And do ya really want to get into the Iraq invasion aspect? What with Condoleezza being so involved with Chevron, Cheney so involved with Haliburton, and then there's Bush...

Funny coincidence I'm sure, but guess which oil company was the very first one who got access to Iraq oil? With permission from the Bush administration of course. Although it had been giving illegal kickbacks for Iraqi oil while Saddam was under sanctions with the Oil For Food program. Which oil company was it? hmmmmmm

It's a big effing club, and we ain't in it.

Ros, just stop it. As long as someone makes huge sums of money, it's ok. There's nothing wrong with our military laying down their lives to clear the way for profits to be made by Corporate America. They been doing it for years. Just close your eyes, hum KOOM BYA and buy stocks in that company. :sarcasm:
