Wow, stealing your co-workers department issued weapon and starting fires in the police department by lighting cardboard boxes on fire.  What a bully.

Kind of feel this is what should have happened to Cory Farris had evil Judge Chesterman not thwarted justice and fairness. Is fondling your adopted sons penis any less of a crime? The law says not.

We live in a very corrupted environment folks. Look around you...our city and it's coffers are not safe. The finance director admitted stealing under oath and nothing was done.  No assurance was given the books are clean. Still the same system in place.

Yet another bad cop...covered by his superiors time and again until he commits another offense. They are not commenting but they damn sure will if YOU are accused.

Wells council to discuss officer incident at Monday meeting

WELLS — The Wells City Council is slated to meet Monday to discuss the fate of one of the city’s police officers, who was placed on paid administrative leave about two weeks ago.

According to Wells City Administrator Jeremy Germann, an outside law enforcement agency is looking into an alleged incident involving officer Alex Thostenson.

Germann would not comment on the nature of the incident or if it took place when Thostenson was on duty.

Thostenson has been a full-time officer with the Wells Police Department for seven years, according to the Faribault County Register.

He is also a former employee of the Minnesota State Patrol and worked part-time for the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office as an on-call transportation deputy.

The Register reported this is the second time he has been the subject of allegations.

Freeborn County Sheriff Bob Kindler said the initial allegation was reported to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office in May and was investigated by the Mower County Sheriff’s Office to avoid a potential conflict of interest.

He would not comment on the nature of the allegation.

After the investigation was completed, the case was sent back to the Freeborn County Attorney’s Office for review and then was forwarded to the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office to avoid any further potential conflict.

No charges were filed.

Kindler said the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Thostenson parted ways in June, but noted this was not a result of the investigation.

Germann expected to be able to release more information after the Monday meeting.
