So I went to the link, and I don't really see what they are protesting. At least not according to their website.
I guess I'd rather they all occupy a job and pay some taxes.

Actually, most of the people at all of these protests do work, that's why during the week there aren't many people at them, during the night there are more, and during the weekends it explodes. But I will pass on your desires to the lazy bums who would rather try to make the world better instead of getting a job and paying taxes to a system that is garbage and corrupt so that life can keep going as it always has.

Rosalind, Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that I would disagree with them, but I don't know WHAT they are protesting. They don't really give any info on their website, and the interviews I have seen with them don't give me any more info either. It looks like a bunch of people that just decided to get together and gain and some notoriety. Thus far it appears to be a peaceful 'protest' which is good. I just think they are doing a lousy job of getting their point across.

I just think they are doing a lousy job of getting their point across. OH I totally agree, I don't even understand how this all started, at first I thought it was all a joke, but after spending so much time checking into it, and in the chat rooms for it, I think the idea of all of this was to show people just how messed up this all is. The people who started it just asked people if they were happy with how things are, and everyone said NO. There were many different reasons why they weren't happy, and most don't have just one reason. This whole thing has made people wake up to the realization that THIS IS A MESS. The political system, the court system, all of it. And finally we have a chance to get some much needed changes. I agree that this is all a bit chaotic as far as organizing and goals, but one thing is clear: things need to change, and now is our chance. I even think the ONE DEMAND that keeps getting mentioned was a way to wake us up to the fact that there is just too many problems. We can't fix all the mess that the leaders of this country have done for decades with just one little fix. I don't know what is going to come of this, nobody does, but we do realize that things can change. If enough people finally admit to themselves that what we have isn't working. This whole situation will be a bit chaotic and unorganized for awhile. The reason for that is because it has just started, and nothing like this has ever happened before, so we don't really know how to go about it. More ideas and actual discussions can go a long way. Talk with your friends and family, ask them what they see wrong in the world, ask them what they think would be a way to fix that. It takes most people a while to wrap their heads around all of this at first, change is hard, especially when you live your whole life thinking this is just the way it is and nothing can change that.

I guess I'd rather they all occupy a job and pay some taxes. Maybe they are protesting, the banks were bailed out by taxes of the people. Now they are making billions of profit and in the board room, it is mentioned that they can make more profit by rising and added fees to their customers.
Maybe they are protesting the enormous wealth being had on the backs of regular people on wall street. In the board room it is mentioned. make as much money, any way possible.
Could it be, they are protesting that the drug companies have been protected to make billions in profits and still not pay taxes. now in the board room it is mentioned that they can make more profit if they slow the manufacture of generic drugs.
Maybe it is the fact that oil companies can grab a price out of the air and charge it's customers what ever they want. In the board room it is mentioned that if they drill and cap, profits remain high.
Maybe it is a fact that the big business community and wealthy has been pampered with low to no taxes for so long that they now feel it is their right to have them. In the board room it is mentioned, it's our money, we stepped on a lot of people to get it.
Maybe it is the fact that our govt. will stay the route of their party, whether it is good for the people or not. In the board room it is mentioned, divide and conquer.
I would say they are protesting board rooms.

Grassman thank you, they are protesting those things. It is clear that government isn't working for the benefit of the people, it's first priority is making people richer, not even caring if it hurts the public. Do you guys know about the things Monsanto has done? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6262083407501596844
This is an informative documentary. Very scary.
Have you guys heard of Dr. Burzynski? Here is an eye opening video. http://www.forbiddenknowledgetv.com/videos...ry.html
Has anyone seen the documentary gasland? I haven't been able to find a safe source to link to. There are sites that show it but I don't trust them because of computer viruses and such. HBO aired it. Just watching the trailer for it on youtube will show you what is up.
Laws have been being made to help all the big corporations get richer at our expense. This has been going on for a very very long time. With help from the media they have been able to keep us in the dark about everything. These protests aren't the first protests, they are only the first protests they haven't been able to hide.
