Diamond Jo Casino announces new act coming to Event Center

Pawn Stars Gold and Silver Road Show will make a stop at the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa. The History Channel’s top rated show is coming to the Diamond Jo Casino Event Center on Sunday, Nov, 14. Pawn Stars is currently in their third record-breaking season on the History Channel. The show stars the Harrisons and their successful pawn shop which runs on knowledge, instinct, nerves of steel and family chemistry. The guys are straight talking, shrewd and sometimes even a tad crude.

The live show will feature Rick Harrison and Chumlee. There will be three live performances: noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. With the purchase of a ticket you can try to sell your gold, silver, jewelry antiques and collectables or just watch the live show unfold.

Rick, a born hustler, seems to have radar for stolen or fake items and has a wealth of information when it comes to historical items. He is the glue that holds the family and business together; Chumlee is just like a son to Rick and has been around the shop since he was a kid. He constantly asks Rick to buy items that entertain him, like video games and circus paraphernalia, that usually don’t make good business sense.

Another act to follow: Now you see it now you don't. A magic act performed by Linda Tuttle.

They seem to get fairly decent entertainment there from time to time. All things being considered like their locale and the size of their operation there.

But they don't seem to really advertise that aspect of it that thoroughly. IMO

Maybe they don't feel they need to or that it pays large enough dividends.

It kind of surprises me a bit that they don't though.
