Harry Reid just had a press conference to announce that the democrats now have the 60 votes needed to stop the GOP obstructionists, and the Senate will likely pass their version of Health Care reform on Christmas Eve.

The Senate minority had a whiny press conference right after that where they brought up the same lame arguments they've been using for the last couple months.

Well you can be happy knowing that we can pay for your health problems and not worry if you were going to live to the next day or not, because you cannot afford it I am glad that I will be forced to pay for you or anyone else that wants to live on MY dime.

They have the votes but now comes the harder part of reconciling the Senate and House versions so each is happy with the final bill.

What's the big deal?  The american taxpayer is an endless source of funding.  Every administration since FDR has known that.

I guess to me it is more surprising it hasn't happened already.  I mean the dem-shiznits have had the 60 they've needed since election day.  Even the republitards could get stuffed passed without owning a majority, mostly to the detriment of us all too.  Kinda like this bill will eventually be IMO.

Oh goody, one step closer to European socialism, it has worked so well there and everywhere else it has been tried.

Where else are you told you have to buy this or you are a criminal?

A bill creating bigger gov't, higher taxes, and it does not address any of the issues driving health care costs higher.  I would be gloating too.  No matter how they package this, it is still a giant turd.  :cheer:
