Man and woman reportedly held at gunpoint

A 33-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were reportedly held at gunpoint early this morning in their home on South Washington Avenue after at least two men broke into their home.
Albert Lea police officers arrested Joshua Quincy Hill, 30, of Albert Lea, in connection with the incident. One other man fled.
Officers were dispatched to 709 S. Washington Ave. at about 3:18 a.m. today.
Upon arrival at the duplex, further information was given to officers that the suspects were in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and had fled in a blue Chevy Malibu, according to police.
A vehicle matching the description was stopped a short distance later near the intersection of College Street and Euclid Avenue, police stated.
Upon stopping, the driver of the car fled, and Hill, the passenger of the car, was taken into custody without incident.
He was identified as one of the suspects.
Police stated a firearm and other items were located in the vehicle.
Hill was arrested on aggravated robbery, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.
The incident is still under investigation.

The question remains why weren't these thugs shot on site when entering the dwelling? The minute they busted in through the door is when you place two shots center mass and one in the cranial kill zone to make sure the thug is dead.
People for the love of GOD, arm yourselves. With the economy in the state its in, it is only going to get worse before its gets better.

If more people had guns, idiot thugs like these might think twice, after a few of their numbers were blown apart in some house they were invading.

I wonder what the odds are that all the people involved knew each another.
That they just did not randomly select these people to be their victims.
Sometimes a person's lifestyle and who they associate with can have a tremendous bearing on whether or not they find themselves in these types of situations.

I'm still waiting on the "more to come" part of that article. I mean, by now I am sure they know who the driver was, what he looked like, what he was wearing...that type of thing. Shouldn't we be a bit more worried about the one who got away???

And also; just because you have a gun doesn't mean you aren't going to get shot or killed.
