HyVee considering Austin for a main supply hub because of easy access to the interstate and a workforce..

Why not Albert Lea? We are located at the I-35 and I-90 intersection and also have a workforce friendly area..

Does ALEDA have any balls or are they a bunch of pussy's?

Why not Albert Lea?

Because after 40 plus years of weak leadership AL has turned into a sh!thole.

At least Albert Lea's drivers staring at their phones are only going 30. Instead of 75 like they are on various clogged freeways in the so called "Twin Cities" area. hahahaha

Or the older ones looking at their phones driving 30 onto the freeways.

Gotta luv you truckers there. . . who drift over the lines. . . as well.

What pros.

Arguing against the local economic entities and their personnel  usually involve somewhat of a going around in circles affair.

The cheerleaders tell you: There are already 800 or something unfilled jobs in Albert Lea. ALEDA pays $300,000 a year or something in taxes. . . They cost tax payers absolutely nothing.

Those are a few that I can vaguely remember.

So. . . if you go by that. There isn't really a workforce in Albert Lea. Plus look at the population difference between Austin and Albert Lea. Austin has like 2-3 Blue Earths more of population.

So it will never be ALEDAS fault for anything ever.

See how that works?

In some ways that position reminds me of some far off military installation that is so remote it will never really see serious battle.

But the canons are finely polished and they always get an attah boy good job.

*Hyperbole laden

the younger ones will leave but most of the elderly can't afford to leave.  It's a dying town with no real prospects that I can see.
Get out while the gettings good I say.
