Interesting. They don't give real life stories of how people are currently being harmed.
Has anyone here experienced anything negative?

Easy. Because ISPs are not considered a utility, they do not need to provide right of way access to infrastructure. Thats why whatever company services an area holds a near complete monopoly over the service area for whatever technology they use (Charter for cable, Centurylink for phone). Smaller companies like WCTA that are trying to expand have no right to use existing poles, vaults, cable bores or whatever, and must build from the ground up each and every time, but the catch is, if Charter got there first and put in poles, you can't easily pound in your own.
You are harmed by the lack of choice, price controls due to lack of competition, and your provider knows it, and bandwidth and speed caps due to lack of regulation. You are at the mercy of your provider instead of them existing to serve your needs.

What part of what he posted makes you think price will go up?

As opposed to the price for Charter going up every few months with artificial fees and taxes, or decreasingly short promotional periods that existing customers need to threaten a virgin sacrifice to get, only to find repeated billing errors?
Or you have the option to sign up for CenturyLink DSL and go through the same song and dance for a different service with its own limitations. Of course there is always satellite "broadband" which is really only an option if you don't have any other options. It isn't very many peoples first choice, and still you suffer from rate increases, short promotional periods and mystery fees.
Please tell me how you aren't getting bent over and screwed already. Are you threatening to cancel? I think most ISPs have learned in this day and age a larger and larger majority of people simply can't function without an internet connection, whether it be for business or pleasure.
